What you wish you could say, Unsent Letters

Published by cwilson26 under thoughts Edit This

Unsent Letters is a great opportunity to submit letters to people on what you wish you could say but you won’t. If your letter is accepted for the blog you will receive $10 to $25 and your letter will be published on the blog with a byline of your choosing. If your letter is accepted for the book you will receive $25 to $250 and your letter will be published in the book. Not only is this a great opportunity to get published but it also lets you get things off your chest that you have been holding in for a while.

My letter to my husband was accepted for the book! I couldn’t believe it when I got the email and it said I was accepted for the book. I was so happy I called my mom late at night to tell her and I felt like going outside and screaming at the top of my lungs. The good screaming, not the bad.

You can only submit one letter at a time and it can take 2 to 8 weeks to hear back about your letter. This is an awesome opportunity. Submit you letter to Unsent Letters today and get published on the blog or the book. Oh and your letter may be accepted for both and if it does, you will get paid for both. Get to writing those Unsent Letters today!

A random act of kindness

Published by cwilson26 under thoughts Edit This

Today, April 20th, makes two years for the death of my friend, Rissa’s baby girl. She wrote an article about her terrible loss asking everyone to perform a random act of kindness in honor of her baby. Here is the article, please read, comment, do an act of kindness, and let Rissa know what you did. Also please forward this article on to everyone you know so they can each read it and perform an act of kindness in honor of Rissa’s baby.

If you are at work, do an act of kindness for someone at work. If you are running errands, perform an act of kindness for a complete stranger. If you are hanging out with a friend, do something nice for them for no reason. If you do not intend on leaving the house at all today, you can do an act of kindness for a family member or someone online. Read a few blogs and comment on them, promote someone else’s work for them to help them today. Do anything you can think of to spread the love to Rissa’s baby up in Heaven.

Here is the article again:

Please Honor My Baby on April 20th

Make sure to read it and comment and forward it to everyone you know. Thank you.

Getting in the mood to write

Published by cwilson26 under thoughts Edit This

Sometimes I struggle with my writing. There are times when I have an article due and I have a hard time getting in the mood to write it. I think it is the pressure of having to do it because I would rather want to do it and not have to have it done on a certain day. So I had to explore different techniques to get myself in the mood to write. A friend of mine told me to write something fun for myself, even if it isn’t for pay. So I write in one of my many blogs to get the writing juices and energies flowing. It works too! Another way I get myself in the mood is when I start the research I need to do.

Today, I just dove right in to writing without anything stopping me. I wish I could always do it that way. How do you get in the mood to write? Do you meditate? Do you write something fun? Share with me on how you get in the mood to write and maybe I could try your techniques and see if they work for me too. I can always use different techniques in case one of mine won’t work one day. Leave me a comment and share your technique or techniques with me. :)
