Don’t wait until it is too late, get checked now!

My dad ended up in the hospital last week. He has been having problems with his prostate and it just kept getting worse until he couldn’t stand the pain anymore. So he asked my mom to drive him to the emergency room and they ran some tests. They didn’t know what was wrong at first because one of his testicles was as big as a grapefruit and it was really red. They thought maybe cancer, a tumor, or just an infection. So they kept him overnight and ran some tests, and more tests. They found a very bad infection and put him on antibiotics and kept him in the hospital. He has been in there since last Tuesday and finally today they operated on him to get the infection out because the antibiotics were not doing the job.

So they did the surgery today and the doctor said it was pretty bad but they got the infection out. My dad is doing good now. H eis not great yet but he is doing a lot better. He isn’t in any pain but that is because they keep giving him pain shots. He is able to lay in bed now without being uncomfortable and he isn’t grouchy like he was. I am so thankful to God and that doctor for saving my dad’s life. The doctor said if he wouldn’t have come in when he did he could have died because his bladder could have exploded and the infection could have gone through his whole body. I am just so happy and thankful that he is ok now.

I want to thank my Accentuate friends for being there for me while my dad has been in the hospital. They have helped keep me calm and made me realize my dad got to the hospital when he should have. They prayed for my family and I am thankful to their prays, love, friendship, and support. Thank you my friends!

If you or anyone you know has this problem then you need to get to the hospital or doctor right away. If you don’t, it could kill you. My dad has learned the hard way that he can’t just put up with things like this and hope they go away on their own. He has learned he needs to go to the doctor if something is wrong and my mom has learned also. This has been an eye opening experience for my family, especially my mom and dad since they never go to the doctors. They don’t have healthy insurance and never tried to get help from the government but now they are going to. They are going to apply for Medicare and if they get denied they will go to the free clinic to where they can at least see a doctor and get their prescriptions. They can then go to Wal-Mart and get generics for $4. I just wish it wouldn’t have taken this life threatening experience to open up their eyes and realize they need help with doctors and prescriptions. But at least they are going to start taking better care of themselves now.

If you are a male and you start to have problems with your prostate or testicles, get to a doctor right away! You don’t want to mess with this kind of problem. I don’t care if you are embarrassed about it! You just go get it fixed before it gets too bad and they can’t do anything for you. My father-n-law died from prostate cancer because he never went to the doctors or the hospital. When they found it, it was too late and he was dying already. He also had lung cancer which was found too late!

If you are a female or someone who knows a man who is having this problem, please get them some help before it is too late! Take my experience for example and do what you need to do for you and your family!
