It is that time of year again, NaNoWriMo! What is NaNoWriMo? National November Writing Month. It is a free program for writers to sign up and write a novel in a month! Sound too hard to do? Not at all, well I can’t tell you how hard or easy it is because I am not participating this year since I have too much to do but a lot of my friends over at Accentuate Writers Forum are participating, some for the first time, others veterans of NaNoWriMo! Everyone is hyped up about NaNoWriMo this year as I am sure they are every year. If you would like to sign up and write at least a 50k word novel within 30 days, go check it out.
Another thing you might want to check out is The Office of The Letters and Lights Fundraiser started by Michelle L. Devon, our own Michy who runs the Accentuate Writers Forum. This fundraiser will be taking donations to help support the NaNoWriMo youth program for young writers to be able to write their little hearts out. If you give a donation you will be helping buy computers for children to write to their hearts are content. If you choose to donate, you will be helping these children make their love of writing a dream. So all of you writers out there, or readers, or just those of you who love to help out, donate some money to help these children write that novel they have in their head. It doesn’t matter what you give and you don’t even have to let anyone know who you are, just help these kids out! Thanks for reading this and if you have joined NaNoWriMo this year, Good Luck on writing your novel in November!

Wow what a morning I had! I logged onto the internet around 11:30 this morning to check my paypal account because Demand Studios owes me $90 for some articles I had written for them. I did my usual routine which is open different tabs in Firefox for email, Associated Content, Demand Studios, Accentuate Forum, Mylot, and Paypal. As soon as I signed into my email I had a message from Michy, the forum owner and a message that said I had a U2U message. I got to the email from Michy first and when I read it I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Another member of the forum had paid the $5 entry fee for me to enter the short story contest! When I logged into Accentuate forum, I read the U2U and it was also from Michy with the same message. She wanted to make sure I got the message that I did not have to pay my entry fee. That is the way the members are on the forum, we all care about each other and treat each other as a family. If you ever want to know who your real friends are, go to Accentuate forum and meet all of us on there. We are all friends and even though we are all competing in the short story contest, we root for each other and wish each other well. If someone wins other than us, we cheer for them and let them know how happy we are for them. The members of Accentuate forum are my real friends, internet friends or not, they are the best friends a person can have.
Accentuate Writers is a writing forum for writers to go to meet other writers, share in success stories, lay our problems and burdens down, make friends for life, and learn important things about writing. It is also a place to find high paying writing jobs and get support from other writers. If you have a short story, put it up on the Critiques and Feedback forum and we will all tell you how good or bad it is, if we think you need to make any changes, and perfect it for you before you send it off to a publisher. If you have a novel, do the same thing but either pot the first few chapters or attach it as a document in case it is really long. Do you have an essay you wrote for a print magazine? Put it up and let us perfect it for you. We are all there to help each other. We care about each other and we will never tear you down and call you names if we don’t agree. If we don’t agree with something you said, we will tell you we don’t agree and why we don’t agree but we won’t be rude about it. We are the friendliest people on the internet!
So whoever paid my entry fee, this blog post is dedicated to you. Heck, this blog post is dedicated to everyone on the Accentuate Writers forum because you guys are awesome! I am honored to be a part of such a great forum and I hope one day we can all get together in person and meet. I love you guys! J

Today was one of those days. You know those days when you don’t want to do anything but lay on the couch and watch t.v all day? Yeah it was a lazy day and sometimes I like those lazy days but today I didn’t like it so much. I had things to do today but I didn’t want to do them at all. So I stayed on the couch and watched Sci-Fi movies. Since Halloween is just around the corner they have a bunch of horror movies on and even though I had already seen most of them, I watched them again. I could have watched the movies I have recorded on DVR but I wasn’t in the mood for any of those movies for some reason. I hope tomorrow is a better day.
So now I am hooked on DVR. I can now record anything I want and watch it when I want instead of stopping what I am doing to watch t.v. I have my favorite soap, “Days of Our Lives” set to record all episodes and I also have “Prison Break” and Terminator, The Sarah Connor Chronicles” set to record all episodes. So now I can watch them late at night or during the day when I have nothing important to do. I don’t know what I would do without DVR and I don’t want to find out so I have to keep working online to keep my Dish Netowork bill paid and kept on. We used to have Directv and I always though I would never want anything but Directv. But at the time we couldn’t keep the bill paid. Now I like Dish Network better.
Do you have DVR? Are you hooked on it too? Can you imagine life without it? DVR is awesome!
